Privacy policy
How we collect, use and protect your personal data.
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how SK IT Developments ("we", "us", "our") handles personal data collected through https://skitdevelopments.com (the "Website"). We are an IT services and consulting company registered as an MSME with the Government of India (Udyam Registration No. UDYAM-RJ-37-0005374), located at Mator Road, near Bus Stand, Khairthal, Rajasthan 301404, India.
For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 of India (the "DPDP Act"), we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described in this policy.
2. Personal data we collect
- Enquiry form: your full name, country, phone or WhatsApp number, email address, the service you are interested in, how you heard about us, and the page you submitted the form from.
- Job applications: your name, email, phone number, city, role applied for, experience level, optional portfolio or profile link and note, and your resume, including the information inside it. We do not ask for a photograph.
- Technical data: a one-way hashed form of your IP address (we do not store the readable address in our database), used only to prevent spam and abuse, and standard server logs kept by our hosting provider.
- Communications: details of calls, WhatsApp messages and emails exchanged with you about your enquiry or application, and notes our team records about them.
- Team sign-in: for authorised members of our team only, the name and email of their Google account.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data, and we ask you not to include it in forms or resumes unless it is needed.
3. Why we use your data
- To respond to your enquiry, discuss your requirements and prepare quotes or proposals.
- To contact you by phone, WhatsApp or email about the enquiry you made.
- To review your job application, contact you about it, and keep it on file for future openings for the period stated below.
- To keep the Website and our systems secure and to prevent spam, fraud and misuse.
- To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
We process your data based on your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on our forms, and for certain legitimate uses permitted by law. You can withdraw consent at any time (see "Your rights"). We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to anyone.
4. How we contact you
When our team follows up on an enquiry, messages are prepared from our approved templates and sent manually by a member of our team from their own phone or WhatsApp. We do not send automated or bulk marketing messages through this Website. If you do not want to be contacted, tell us and we will stop.
5. Who we share data with
Only our authorised team members can view enquiries and applications. We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Hosting and database providers: the servers and managed database on which the Website and our data run.
- Cloudflare: network security, performance, and the Turnstile tool that checks that form submissions come from people, not bots.
- Email provider: to send you confirmation emails and to notify our team of new submissions.
- Instant messaging for team alerts: internal notifications about new submissions. These alerts contain only the type of enquiry or role and a link, not your contact details.
- Google: used only for sign-in of our team members.
We may disclose data where required by law, a court or a government authority, or to protect our rights and security. If our business is restructured, your data may be transferred to the successor on the same terms.
6. Where your data is processed
Our team operates from India. Depending on the hosting and database providers we use, data may be stored in data centres in India or in other countries (for example Singapore), and some of our service providers (for example, those providing network security or email) may process data outside India. We take reasonable steps to ensure that they protect it appropriately. We will comply with any restrictions on cross-border transfers notified under the DPDP Act.
7. How long we keep your data
- Job applications and resumes: 12 months from the date of application, then permanently deleted. You can ask us to delete yours earlier.
- Enquiries that do not become a client relationship: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Clients: for the duration of the relationship and afterwards for as long as the law requires us to keep business, tax and contract records.
- Sign-in sessions for team members: up to 7 days.
- Encrypted or routine backups are overwritten on their normal cycle, so deleted data may remain in a backup for a short period before it is overwritten.
8. How we protect your data
We use reasonable security safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access limited to authorised staff through Google sign-in, role-based permissions, storage of resumes privately inside our access-controlled database (never on a public web address), checks on uploaded files, bot and spam protection, hashed IP addresses, and regular backups. No system is completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs that affects you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law.
9. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is used.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data, or update it.
- Ask us to erase your data when it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected, unless the law requires us to keep it.
- Withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect processing already done, and we may then be unable to continue to consider your enquiry or application.
- Have your grievance addressed, and nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become unable to do so.
To exercise a right, contact us using the details below. We will verify your identity and respond within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the rights provided under the GDPR or UK GDPR, such as access, portability and objection, and may contact your local data protection authority.
10. Children
The Website and our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data of anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Cookies and tracking
The public Website does not use advertising or analytics cookies or trackers. A strictly necessary cookie is used only when authorised team members sign in. To help you, the enquiry and application forms save what you have typed (never your consent tick or resume) in your own browser storage until you submit; this stays on your device and is not sent to us, and you can clear it through your browser settings. The Website can also save pages on your device so they open offline. The Cloudflare Turnstile check may use technical signals to tell people from bots. If we add analytics or other tools in future, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required.
12. Links to other websites
The Website may link to other websites (for example, our social media pages). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page with its date. For significant changes we will take reasonable steps to let you know.
